Sustainable Transport and Environmental Safety in Aviation, 1st ed. 2023 Sustainable Aviation Series

Langue : Anglais

This book looks at sustainability and the environmental safety of transport, both key priorities within the global strategy of sustainable development of aviation. Bringing together selected papers presented at the 8th International Scientific-Technical Conference: Problems of Chemmotology ? Theory and Practice of Rational Use of Conventional and Alternative Fuels and Lubricants, the contributions examine the theory and practice of aviation chemmotology and safety in transport, including sustainable transport, manufacturing and use of conventional and alternative fuels and lubricants, the use of electric aviation, and systems of fuel supply and fuel infrastructure. This collection will be an invaluable reference for researchers, professionals, and students involved in alternative aviation fuels, transport engineering, sustainable transport development, and fuels and lubricants.

Air Safety Information Management.- Increasing the Reliability of Diagnosis and Control in the Uncertainty of Primary Information.- Environmental Impact Assessment of the Planned Activity of Aviation Transport.- Key Aspects of Sustainable Development Towards Spent Lithium-Ion Batteries Recycling.- Green Technologies of Information Protection in Computer Networks of Electric Transport System.- Multistage Drying in Fluidized Bed: Ways of Eco-friendly Application and Marketing Tools for Promotion.-  Vortex Granulators in Chemical Engineering: Environmental Aspects and Marketing Strategy of Implementation.- Evaluation of Automobile Road Construction Environmental and Economic Efficiency Based on Public-Private Partnership.- Reducing Vehicle Fuel Consumption and Harmful Emission Using the System for Adding Hydrogen-Containing Gas to the Engine Air Charge Powered by Thermoelectric Generator.

Sergii Boichenko has been Director and then Scientific Chief of the Ukrainian Research and Educational Center of Chemmotology and Certification of Fuels, Lubricants and Technical Liquids at the National Aviation University (NAU) since 2005. He was Head of the Ecology Department at NAU from 2010 until 2018, when he became Dean of the NAU Faculty of Environmental Safety, Engineering, and Technologies. His primary field of scientific interest is the effective and efficient use of conventional and alternative fuels, lubricants, and technical liquids. Over the years, Dr. Boichenko has been the scientific chief of more than 10 national scientific-research projects granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Since 2006, he has been a founder and head of the Program Committee of the International Scientific-Technical Conference “Problems of Chemmotology – Theory and Practice of Rational Use of Traditional and Alternative Fuels and Lubricants” since 2006 and is an acting memberof the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection. He graduated from the Kiev Institute of Engineers of Civil Aviation in 1992 with a degree in Operation of Air Transport and received a Doctor of Sciences degree in 2004.

Anna Yakovlieva has been Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Safety, Engineering, and Technologies of the National Aviation University (NAU) since 2019. Before that, she held positions as Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor of the Ecology Department at NAU. She received a master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Protection in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering of Fuels & Lubricants in 2016 from the National Aviation University, and a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Rzeszow University of Technology in 2018. Dr. Yakovlieva was an executive researcher of five national scientific-research projects granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukr
