Recent Developments in High-Speed Transport, 1st ed. 2023 Selected Contributions from International Conference on High-Speed Transport Development 2022 Springer Aerospace Technology Series

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateurs : Strelets Dmitry Yu., Korsun Oleg N.

Couverture de l’ouvrage Recent Developments in High-Speed Transport
This book describes the basic concepts and various aspects of creating a new generation supersonic passenger aircraft. It presents the fundamental and applied problems essential to the design of aircraft of this type. Solutions to the problems of reducing supersonic boom, environmental noise, harmful emissions, increasing the efficiency of propulsion systems, and the general concept and certification are described.

The development of high-speed transport, as a means of improving mobility and quality of life, is a relevant task for research teams in many countries. The publication includes selected articles from the 1st International Conference on High-Speed Transport Development, organized by the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) which, by participating in many research and commercial projects (including international ones) has accumulated a lot of competencies sufficient to act as a platform for knowledge exchange in this field.

The target audience of this book are researchers working on high-speed transport, postgraduate students, as well as any individuals willing to broaden their knowledge of high-speed aircraft.
Preface.- Markets, requirements, concepts for the implementation of the new generation supersonic aircraft.- Functioning models, modeling, software and hardware platforms for solving problems of new generation supersonic aircraft.- Design solutions, design implementation, weight analysis.- Energy and power systems of new generation supersonic aircraft.- New materials, production technologies.- Artificial intelligence, predictive analytics.- Certification, operation, after-sales service.
Dr. Dmitry Yu. Strelets received a diploma in aircraft engineering in Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow, in 1994, and scientific degrees of Cand. Sc. in aircraft engineering in Moscow Aviation Institute in 1999. Since 2004, Dr. Strelets has been working at the Faculty of Aviation Engineering of Moscow Aviation Institute as the head of the research and development department and an associate professor.

In addition, Dr. Strelets is the deputy design director at Sukhoi Design Bureau—one of the largest aviation enterprises in Russia.

Dr. Strelets is engaged in fundamental and applied research in the development of mathematical modeling methods. His recent research interests include aircraft design and certification, mathematical modeling, and optimization of complex technical systems. Since 2010, Dr. Strelets has published more than 70 scientific papers in Russian and international publications, including technical papers in international journals. He is a reviewer for several international journals, a member of the scientific committee of the ICASSE international conference since 2017, and a regional editor for the journal Aerospace Systems (Springer).

He was awarded the Best Paper Award at the 10th IEEE International Conference on Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in 2019.

Dr. Strelets was also awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for his great contribution to the development of modern aviation technology, in 2018 awarded honorary title “Honorary Aircraft Manufacturer”, and in 2021, he was awarded the Honorary Badge of Aircraft Manufacturers Union of Russia.

Dr. Oleg N. Korsun received scientific degrees of Cand. Sc. and   Dr. Sc., respectively, in 1991 and 2005 in Air-force Engineering Academy named after N.E. Zhukovsky, Moscow, an academic title professor in 2011.
Gathers selected papers from the 1st International Conference on High-Speed Transport Development (HSTD 2022) Promotes new theories of new generation supersonic aircraft design to improve the quality of life Presents the latest research findings from leading scholars and experienced engineers
