Neuroengineering, Second Edition (2nd Ed.)

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateur : DiLorenzo Daniel

This will be a comprehensive, major revision of a previous work detailing and inclusive of promising and effective neuroengineering techniques and technologies. This includes neuromodulaiton and neural augmentation. It's aim is to provide the definitive reference on the basic science, fundamental technologies, clinical application and efficacy of the spectrum of neuroengineering. It will also be intended to provide a systematic mulitidisciplinry integrated reference covering important facets of the rapidly advancing field of neuroengineering.
Background, Neurofunctional Modulatin, Neuromodulation using Focal for Electrical Energy Movement Modulation, Neuromodulation of Psychiatric Conditions, Neuromodulation for Pain, Headache and Tinnitus, Metabolic Modulaiton, Cardiovascular, Circulatory Modulation, Repiratory, Gatrointestinal, Genitourinary, Immunological, Emerging Indications, Stroke Therapy, Motor Prostheses, Motor Effector Technologies, Neuroinematic Prostheses, Neurobiological Prostheses, Surgical Ablative Technologies, Advanced Engineering Technologies, Engineering Challenges, Politicoeconomics, Regulatory Approval
Daniel J. DiLorenzo, MD, PhD, MBA is a Functional and Spine Neurosurgeon, Inventor/Engineer, and Seriel Entrepreneur with an interest in developing high impact therapies and medical technologies. He is currently completing a Complex Spine Neurosurgery Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center and he completed a Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship at Rush Medical Center in Chicago previously. He founded BioNeuronics, renamed NeuroVista, which developmed an implanted brain monitoring and seizure advisory system and successfully demonstrated for the first time that seizures can be predicted in humans. He recevied his Ph.D from MIT in biomedical engineering.
