Dr. Ashwin Rao, BDS, MDS (Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry) , is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry  at Manipal College of Dental Sciences Mangalore, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. He obtained his Master of Dental Surgery degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2005. He has a passion for teaching and his previous instructional audiovisual presentations have won awards from his institution as the best audio-visual learning resources for students. He has coauthored a textbook titled “Contemporary Treatment Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry” and a Video chapter titled “Stainless steel crowns in Pediatric Dentistry” through Springer publications. He is an invited speakeron “Midazolam Sedation in Pediatric Dentistry”, “Local Anesthetic Techniques in Children” and “Sedation in Pediatric Dentistry” at various forums of dentistry. He has authored a number of book chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Shweta Tiwari, BDS, MDS (Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry) completed her Master of Dental Surgery from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2015. She pioneered the concept of an exclusive pediatric dental practice, “Tiny Teeth Children’s Dental Clinic” in Mangalore, India. She has co-authored a video chapter titled "Stainless steel crowns in Pediatric Dentistry" through Springer publications. She has won several awards for her presentations at Pediatric Dental scientific forums and has been involved in oral health education of children and mothers through school programs and social media platforms. She is actively engaged in creating “Clinical Sedation” videos, available on her practice social media handle @tinyteethchildrensdentalclinic. These videos benefit parents wanting to understand the concept of sedation and dentists wanting to learn the ropes of sedation.
