Couverture de l’ouvrage Polymers in Electronics

Polymers in Electronics: Optoelectronic Properties, Design, Fabrication, and Applications brings together the fundamentals and latest advances in polymeric materials for electronic device applications, supporting researchers, scientists and advanced students, and approaching the topic from a range of disciplines. The book begins by introducing polymeric materials, their dielectric, optical, and thermal properties, and the essential principles and techniques for polymers as applied to electronics. This is followed by detailed coverage of the key steps in the preparation of polymeric materials for opto-electronic devices, including fabrication methods, materials design, rheology, encapsulation, and conductive polymer mechanisms.

The final part of the book focuses on the latest developments in advanced devices, covering the areas of photovoltaics, transistors, light-emitting diodes, and stretchable electronics. In addition, it explains mechanisms, design, fabrication techniques, and end applications. This is a highly valuable resource for researchers, advanced students, engineers and R&D professionals from a range of disciplines.

Part I: Optoelectronic Properties of Polymers 1. Introduction to polymers 2. Optoelectronic properties of polymers 3. Conductive polymers

Part II: Applications 4. Basic electronics 5. Polymers in optoelectronic devices 6. Polymers in electronic packaging

Prof. Zulkifli Ahmad is a Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia, and part of the Silicone Polymer Research Group. His experience covers the areas of polymer synthesis, polymer chemistry, and electronics. He has published approx. 120 papers in peered review journals with 2500 citations.
Dr. M. Khalil Abdullah has been working as a Lecturer in Polymer Engineering at the School of Material and Mineral Resources, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), since 2014. His areas of research are heat transfer, fluid flow, polymer rheology, and electronic cooling. He has published numerous articles in peered review journals, with a citation count of approximately 1200.
Muhammad Zeshan Ali graduated from UET, Lahore, at MSc level, in 2016. He was awarded the HRDI UESTP merit-scholarship from HEC, Pakistan for his doctorate study. He has worked on polymer electrolytes and structural composite batteries, and his current research focus is on transparent conductive polymer based optoelectronic applications.
Dr. Mohamad Adzhar Md Zawawi is currently a Senior Lecturer within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Prior to joining USM, he had six years of industrial experience with multinational semiconductor companies in product and test engineering, and wafer fabrication. His research interests are in the field of modeling, design, and fabrication of compound semiconductor and quantum devices, MMIC, and printable electronics.
