Research in Anatomy A Comprehensive Guide in Anatomical Sciences and Education

Langue : Anglais

Coordonnateur : Gasmalla Hosam Eldeen Elsadig

Research in Anatomy: A Comprehensive Guide in Anatomical Sciences and Education presents research methods in human anatomy, neuroanatomy, embryology and histology, as well as research in anatomy education. The book is divided into two parts, an introductory and an advanced specialized part, thus addressing the needs of a wide range of researchers. The introductory part of the book will appeal to biomedical science researchers at all levels and the advanced specialized part of the book addresses the needs of the researchers in anatomical fields and those in the biomedical research community collaborating in multidisciplinary research involving anatomy fields.

Part 1 - Introductory section
1. Introduction to research methods
2. Data collection, entry, analysis, and management
3. Human versus animal studies
4. Developing systematic reviews and meta-analyses of anatomical studies

Part 2 - Advanced specialized section
5. Anatomical research based on cadaveric study
6. Anatomical research based on morphometric study
7. Anatomical research based on radiological tools
8. Anatomical research based on microscopic study
9. Anatomical research based on surgical practice
10. Developmental anatomy research
11. Anatomical variability
12. Neuroanatomical research
13. Research in anatomical education
14. Disseminating research results
Dr. Hosam Eldeen is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anatomy, at the University of Warwick, Coventry. Previously he was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anatomy and a medical education specialist at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Neelain University. He has over fifteen years of experience in teaching and research in this field. He teaches research methodology for postgraduate students in Clinical Anatomy’s Master's program. Besides Anatomy, he is a Medical Education Specialist. He previously taught postgraduate students in the Medical Education’s Master's program provided by the Sudan Medical Specialization Board SMSB. He is a review editor in (Frontiers in Medicine journal) and a reviewer for the (Education in Medicine Journal) which is published jointly by Penerbit Universiti Sains Malaysia and the Malaysian Association of Education in Medicine and Health Sciences (MAEMHS). His publications ranged from original articles, reviews, book chapters and textbooks in anatomy, and medical education.
  • Provides an evidence-based approach to anatomical research
  • Presents a variety of research designs applied in cadaveric, radiologic, surface, and microscopic anatomy
  • Inspires early career anatomists to identify possible future research areas
